Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree in Science at Concordia University, Julie attended Law School at the University of Ottawa and was called to the bar in 2006. Rory Johnston | Lawyer

Rory Johnston is an energetic advocate for accident victims and has specialized in insurance law throughout his legal career. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Rory worked at the Disabled Sailing Association of British Columbia, teaching clients with spinal cord and brain injuries how to sail at Vancouver’s Jericho Sailing Centre.  He also coordinated the volunteer Jericho Rescue Team, assisting hundreds of sailors and boaters in distress each year. Rory obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Economics Honours) degree at UBC and completed his law degree at the University of Victoria in 2012. Rory was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013 and the British Columbia Bar in 2014. Rory sits on the Executive of the Vancouver Rowing Club’s Yachting Section and on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association (BC)’s Young Lawyers section. Karai has years of legal administrative experience including a strong litigation background in personal injury law. She has only recently joined the team but Tamara Paul has been part of the Warnett Hallen family for many years. Most of our team has worked with Tamara at some of the top plaintiff only personal injury law firms in Vancouver. Now that she has come home to Warnett Hallen, Tamara can concentrate on what she does best, assisting our injured clients during recovery and gathering evidence to put forth the best case possible. Tamara enjoys helping people and loves her job. This is evident in her drive to assist those in need. Prior to transitioning her career to legal, she studied at the Insurance Institute while working at ICBC. This experience gives her a unique perspective into insurance processes and how to quickly resolve claims while maximizing value. If you are a cyclist you may have already met Tamara. She belongs to two competitive cycling teams; Just Giver for PD, which raises funds for Parkinson’s Disease, and the Tri-Cities Cycling Club. Although her current ambitions take her traveling the globe, Tamara grew-up on a ranch in northern BC and has fond memories of raising cattle, riding horses and farming.

Is personal injury law art or science? If you ask Bojan Petrovic, it’s a bit of both. Bojan’s ability in personal injury law is only exceeded by his fluency in languages and the arts. In addition to English, he speaks French, Spanish, German, Serbian/Croatian and brings these linguistic skills to every client case. With an international sensibility, Bojan worked as a junior lawyer in Belgrade before assuming his personal injury practice in Vancouver as a case manager in 2001. He attended François-Xavier-Garneau College in Quebec City and completed a Paralegal certificate in 2012. As a Paralegal, he has gained years of experience in various fields of law including general civil litigation, family, banking, bankruptcy and general business. Jean-Christophe is always motivated by new challenges in life and moved to Vancouver in September of 2017. When Jean-Christophe (“J-C”) is not working to protect the right of our clients, he serves his country as a Canadian Military Officer for the Canadian Cadet Program with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Corps 47 Captain Vancouver located in beautiful Stanley Park. As a member of our Office Services Team, Collin uses his education to assist with office organization. As a native of the Lower Mainland, Julie recently relocated from the Okanagan with her young daughter, and joined our team in January 2018. Julie has more than 10 years of experience in customer service. For the past 6 years, she has worked solely in litigation assisting victims of motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall injuries. Julie has wide-ranging experience including: rear-ender cases, hit and runs, motorcycle and pedestrian collisions. She returned home to Vancouver with a fresh desire to provide top level service and a determination to advocate on behalf of our clients.
